JIP - JavaMuseum Interview Project

As a Forum for Internet Technology in Contemporary Art, JavaMuseum was during its 1st phase the years 2001-2005- focussed on net based art in a global context and organised 18 showcases, including three global competitions.
More than 350 artists from 30 countries and more than 1000 art works were participating, and represent one of the most comprehensive collections of net based art orginating from 2001 until 2005.
In 2005, JavaMuseum decided to stop its activities for a while, in order to rethink its aims and the artistic and technological perspectives of Internet based art.
In March 2006, JavaMuseum announced it relaunch for 2007, and started a new project, entitled: JIP - JavaMuseum Interview Project - more details here - as a basis for types of activities. In June 2006, the next new project: JAP - JavaMuseum Article Project is launched intending to collect publications on art and technology.
